PROJECT'S IMPACT ON BUSINESS

SOLUTION

A website for teachers has been created, thanks to which the teacher has an additional opportunity to "embed" the topic of sustainable development in each of the subjects provided by the school program. This is required by the reform of the education system in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Education" and the implementation of a cross-cutting substantive educational approach, called "Environmental Security and Sustainable Development".

The essence of the site is a uniquely designed service-constructor with ready-made examples of exercises and tasks on the topic of sustainable lifestyle in various subjects.

The teacher will be able to prepare for any lesson in a few "clicks" and reveal the topic of sustainable consumption through the exercises and tasks prepared within the project. All materials are adapted for the use in various subjects of the school curriculum for the 5-7 grades.

RESULTS

To include the Sustainable Development Goals in the school education system, the project combined the efforts of public and private partners: the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine, the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (NAPS), the Institute for Modernization of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, State Ecological Academy for Postgraduate Education and Management, the NGO "Living Planet" and the NGO "Green Center "Metinvest".

Improve education, dissemination of information and capacity of people and institutions to alleviate and mitigate the effects of climate change, adaptation to them and early warning.

The site works in a test mode. The content has been already prepared. In the following, it will be transferred to the website of the Ministry of Education and distributed through the resources of partners and educational portals.

In addition to that, it is possible not only to apply the content of the aforementioned resource, but also to share the author's examples of tasks on the website. Their number should increase over time with the help of users of the website – the teachers. The tasks will be ranked by popularity periodically, and the leaders will be awarded by the EcoMON team.

Thanks to this initiative, more than 2.5 thousand teachers will be able to provide 4 million students with knowledge on how to:

• conserve resources;

• lead a healthy lifestyle;

• sort waste;

• buy what you need and choose environmentally friendly products;

• take care of the nature.
